A special listening and support service has been set up for students in Lyon

From December 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021

Given the negative impact of the COVID-19 crisis and its subsequent lockdown on students’ mental health, the Jean Bergeret Regional Institute has set up a special psychological support service for all students in the Lyon area.

In addition to the existing schemes, and with support from the Métropole de Lyon, the Jean Bergeret Regional Institute is offering a free listening and psychological support service for all students in Lyon:

  • Individual consultations, online or by phone, with one of our psychologists. Available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 8 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM (by appointment, which can be made online or by phone)
  • Online group workshops, led each week by a psychologist and young civic service volunteers, covering a range of topics such as risk behaviors, stress management, and psychosocial skills.

These workshops are designed to help students better cope with stress due to COVID-19 and the lockdown through the use of scientifically proven prevention methods and resources. It is also an opportunity to talk and share with others, all with the support of a professional.

► More information coming soon on the Institute’s website.

These services are available from December 1st, 2020 to the end of February 2021. They are confidential, without judgment, anonymous and free of charge.
