Covid-19: university libraries closed until further notice -with adaptated services

On The June 16, 2020

As part of the measures to contain the current epidemic, all Lyon and Saint-Étienne university libraries have adapted their services, but will remain closed to the public until further notice.

THE “TAKE-OUT” LIBRARY SERVICE

A number of BUs now allow you to remotely order documents and collect them during a given time slot.
You can also return your documents by appointment or by using book boxes.
Any documents borrowed before the lockdown can be returned before the summer holidays or in September with no late fees.

ONLINE DOCUMENTS AND SUPPORT

The teams, currently working from home, have continued to provide students and researchers with access to:

  • Online information (such as literature searches, digital resources and practical information)
  • Services for researchers (sharing publications on the HAL portal, thesis services, etc.)

DISTANCE LEARNING

Some BUs have set up a range of video-link documentation workshops (Copyrights, Zotero, publishing on the HAL portal, etc.)
University scientists also have access to free distance learning courses (web-based scientific communication, publishing, as well as processing and accessing research data) provided by the Urfist de Lyon.
