The Campus Arts Festival, being held as part of the Arts and Culture in Higher Education Days (JACES – Journées des arts et de la culture dans l’enseignement supérieur), aims to showcase cultural and artistic achievements in higher education. For the second consecutive year, the Université de Lyon and institutions of higher education in Lyon and Saint-Étienne chose to combine their artistic and cultural programs, providing over forty events open to the public between April 2 and 4, 2019.

The Campus Arts Festival

The event, which was renamed “the Campus Arts Festival” for the 2019 JACES in Lyon and Saint-Étienne will hold nearly 40 events (most of which are free) open to the public: concerts, shows, screenings, performances and even promenade performances, etc.

This year’s event is innovating by offering events in new venues, including the Comédie in Saint-Étienne, the Musée des Moulages (3rd district of Lyon) and the Subsistances (1st district of Lyon). This will further open up the campuses to the general public and promote the multitude of artistic and cultural initiatives built by our students and resident artists.

Shake Shake Go is closing the festival at the Transbordeur

This year, the Université de Lyon is proud to invite its students to attend an event in another iconic venue in Lyon, the Transbordeur, after hosting events in the Maison de la Danse and the Musée des Confluences, in 2018.

The French-Welsh indie folk band Shake Shake Go will close the Campus Arts Festival on April 4, 2019. Students who have been selected in the Campus Arts call for projects will open for the band.

The concert is free for all students. Registration recommended:
