The Université de Lyon and its institutions launch a peer-to-peer student health awareness program

On The March 22, 2021

The Université de Lyon is launching a peer-to-peer student health awareness program this year in partnership with several of its institutions and the Crous de Lyon.

As part of its coordinated student health strategy, the Université de Lyon has been working with its member and associate institutions to develop measures to provide equal access to health services for all its students and to help them better understand the health care system.

In an effort to improve the perception and effectiveness of its preventative actions, the Université de Lyon has been developing a peer-to-peer outreach program that includes young people in the student health guidance and counseling process.

This initiative involves putting together two teams of “health ambassadors”: a team of two volunteers in Saint-Étienne and a team of three volunteers in Lyon. Their mission is to develop and propose new activities and communication methods for students by going to meet them on campus and in their living spaces.

This program was designed in collaboration with the medical directors and those in charge of health and student life at the Université Lumière Lyon 2, the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, the Université Jean Monnet, Sciences Po Lyon, the École Centrale de Lyon, ENTPE and the Crous de Lyon.
