Two Weeks for Better Sleep: workshops to learn how to sleep better for successful studies

Over 45% of students say they have sleep problems, which are often due to study-related stress. Because students need a high quality of life to flourish, the Université de Lyon and its member institutions have partnered with the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region to hold a two-week program promoting better sleep, from November 25 to December 6.

The Université de Lyon is co-organizing and coordinating a health prevention program on this topic in the Lyon and Saint-Étienne area. Thus was born the “Two Weeks for Better Sleep” workshop series, funded by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, to make students aware of the importance of sleeping well.

For nearly two weeks, each student will be given the opportunity to take part in three workshops in their own institution, where they will learn ways to manage stress and get ready to sleep.

The proposed workshop series

• Workshop 1: Better Sleep with Aromatherapy
• Workshop 2: Introduction to Mindfulness
• Workshop 3: Introduction to Sophrology and how it Improves Sleep

These workshops will take place from November 25 to December 6, and from February 10 to 21, 2020, in each institution taking part in the "Two Weeks for Better Sleep" workshops.
