To kick off 2019, the Université de Lyon’s Culture, Science and Society Department presents images and figures looking back at the 2018 Science Fair, which was held on the Métropole de Lyon and the Rhône department.

The 27th Science Fair was held from October 6 to 14, 2018. The first event was held in 1991, and it is organized on a national scale by the French Ministry for Higher Education, Research and Innovation.

In Lyon and the Rhône department, this major event promoting scientific, technical and industrial culture drew over 46,000 visitors, including nearly 15,000 children in school groups, from 25 different municipalities from the Lyon area and the Rhône department.

The program included over 300 activities that delighted science lovers of all ages.

226 organizations, including 110 project leaders, many of which are member institutions of the Université de Lyon, played a key role in the success of this Science Fair, either as an organizer, collaborator or partner.
