Brain Awareness Week is back, from March 16 to 25, 2021

The 2021 Brain Awareness Week, co-organized by the French National Centre for Scientific Research (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique – CNRS), the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale – Inserm), the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center, the Fondation Neurodis, the Fondation APICIL, the LabEx CORTEX, the LabEx ASLAN, the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Pop’Sciences of the Université de Lyon and the Le Vinatier hospital, will take place online from March 16 to 25.

Coordinated by the French Neuroscience Society, Brain Awareness Week is a unique opportunity for the general public to meet researchers, doctors and student volunteers to learn more about the brain and find out about the latest research.

The Lyon 2021 program will be based on the theme: “Me, my brain and others”. This is an opportunity for everyone to better understand how their brain interacts both with the people around them and with artificial human-designed interfaces.

Eleven free lectures will be open to the general public, including:

  • Emotions and social behavior

  • What is the relationship between the biological brain and artificial intelligence?
    Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 6:30 PM to 8 PM
  • Changing the body and space to explore and change the mind
    Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 12:30 PM
