Call for papers: Art and creation in higher education and research seminar

From May 31, 2019 to July 8, 2019

As a celebration of the 2019 Biennale de Lyon, the Université de Lyon is organizing a seminar about art and creation in higher education and research, on October 8. In light of this, the university is now launching a call for papers.

In keeping with Lyon’s Biennale of Contemporary Art, which, for its 15th edition, is billed as Biennial-Research, the Lyon Saint-Étienne site’s higher education and research institutions wish to address the issues of creation, research and art within the dynamics of existing training and research objectives.

The Université de Lyon is holding a seminar on October 8, 2019, featuring the programs, pathways and schemes of existing research programs. It will be an opportunity to open up discussions, and to consider transmission, experimentation and recognition.

Call for papers

Intended for researchers, teachers, students, creative and cultural players and cultural activities leaders for cultural and artistic institutions and organizations, this seminar proposes a cross-examination of the subject with the following two emphases:

  • Research and creation: activities, types and challenges;
  • Developing research in artistic practices.

Application dates

  • Application dates: from May 29 to July 8, 2019;
  • Selection by the Scientific Committee: between July 8 and 26, 2019.
