Calls for proposals

Call to participate in the 2021 Science Fair: submit your project(s) for consideration before May 16, 2021

From March 24, 2021 to May 16, 2021

Every year, throughout France, Science Fairs invite the general public to have fun with science, to discover new technologies and the latest developments. Laboratories, companies, organizations and cultural players all come together to offer activities, exhibitions, lectures, visits and much more...

Researchers, PhD students, engineers, laboratory technicians, public or private researchers, mediators... Anyone can get involved! It is an opportunity to share your passion for science with all those who would like to learn more about your life as a scientist, the techniques and innovations of modern-day research, or even offer tours of laboratories, as well as natural and industrial sites.

Register now to be part of this year’s Science Fair, which will be held from October 1 to 11, 2021. This year, the Science Fair is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the theme “The Thrill of Discovery”.

As in previous years, the theme will be looked at from a number of different perspectives: biodiversity, energy, health, food, society, etc.

In 2020, the Rhône and Lyon Science Fair was redesigned and, for the first time, gave participants the opportunity to enjoy the activities either in person or online from the comfort of their own homes. Fun, free and open to all; it featured 250 different activities, available both online and in person in 23 cities and towns across the County.

The 2021 Science Fair will follow suit, offering both face-to-face and online activities. Whatever option you choose, you can organize a wide range of activities, with different types of audiences and for all ages, alone or with other project leaders, at home or in one of the science villages... There are many different ways to participate, as well as many different subjects to be discussed!
