On September 16, the Université de Lyon, the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Lumière Lyon 2, Jean Moulin Lyon 3, and the Fred Bendongué Company brought together 270 students and staff from the universities and inhabitants of the third and seventh districts of Lyon in a parade for the 2018 Dance Biennial.

For nearly a year, Vincent Noclin, a student at the Université Lumière Lyon 2, along with a group of volunteers, has been following the “Joyous Cacophony” group from the Lyon Dance Biennial behind-the-scenes for rehearsals and creative workshops.

Through photography, video footage, writing, costumes and props, this student has built a traveling exhibition about the “Joyous Cacophony” that will guide you through the twelve months of work to prepare for the Peace Parade, in keeping with the 2018 Biennial theme.

This exhibition is being held as part of the “Campus Arts Festival – Arts and Culture in Higher Education Days,” on April 2, 3, and 4, 2019. Discover the rich program, with 40 events being held in Lyon and Saint-Étienne: www.universite-lyon.fr/jaces
