Pop’Sciences celebrates its fifth anniversary with the NIMS forum
P for Popularizing knowledge, O for an Open campus, P for Producing science with and for the public...For the past five years, the Pop’Sciences portal has evolved to provide a complete offer to all science lovers: events, themed articles, magazines, festivals... To mark its fifth anniversary, Pop’Sciences takes part in the NIMS 2022 Forum.
The Université de Lyon is committed to sharing and exchanging scientific knowledge through its “Pop’Sciences” portal. Pop’Sciences brings together a vast network of scientific culture actors in the Lyon and Saint-Étienne area to focus on science and society projects and initiatives. It also offers a quality service to a wide audience, whether they are simply curious about science or want to better understand the world around us: a portal presenting local scientific culture events; a festival that takes place every two years in a new location or neighborhood; a personalized service for students; a magazine, both in print and online, on topical issues...
This month, Pop’Sciences celebrates its fifth anniversary and will be present at the NIMS Forum (Nouvelles initiatives en médiation scientifique – New Initiatives in Scientific Mediation) organized by the CNRS and France Universités, on May 31 in Villeurbanne! Come and discover (or rediscover) the latest Pop’Sciences projects and its very popular magazine: Pop’Sciences Mag.

The NIMS Forum
The NIMS Forum (Nouvelles initiatives en médiation scientifique – New initiatives in scientific mediation) is organized every year by the CNRS and France Universités. The aim is to question all those involved in scientific mediation, as well as the general public, about the practices of sharing science, transmitting knowledge and educating people about scientific methodology.
This sixth edition of the NIMS Forum will be held on May 31 on the LyonTech-La Doua campus in Villeurbanne, and is linked to the My Thesis in 180 Seconds national finals, co-organized by the Université de Lyon ComUE.
