New Disrupt’Campus lecture: “Protection of personal data and the GDPR”

On The September 27, 2019

On September 27, the Université de Lyon and the City of Lyon are co-organizing a lecture on the “Protection of personal data and the GDPR” as part of the Disrupt’Campus training program at the Université de Lyon.

The City of Lyon and the Université de Lyon are offering a series of lectures open to the general public as part of the “Digital Transformation University Diploma”.

The “Protection of personal data and the GDPR” lecture will take place on September 27, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Maison des Étudiants (Student Center), 90 rue de Marseille, 69007 Lyon, France.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on May 25, 2018, and companies are obliged to comply. Faced with both the opportunities and the risks of digitization, online security is an important consideration for all institutions, both in terms of processes and personnel.

As part of this lecture, two speakers will provide answers to the question, “How to ensure the protection of personal data?”

  • Aline Barthélémy, head of security and information at Louis Dreyfus Company;
  • Charlotte Quelin, head of legal affairs and partnerships at Sciences Po Lyon.
