Register for the second Urban Logistics School!


Spring 2020

New consumer trends, new modes of transportation, new ways of life and methods of
production: the experts from the Lyon excellence center on the movement of goods will introduce you to the effects of these changes on urban transportation and show you the tools to build them into your business.
Our researchers are acclaimed professionals from the economic sector and academic research. They will teach you cutting-edge research that will provide you with a systemic vision of urban logistics. They will reveal the challenges and deciding factors in the transportation of goods in cities as well as the innovations that will build the urban goods movement systems of tomorrow.

In addition to the lecture series, the Urban Logistics School offers original and interactive educational content, including on-site visits, serious games and participation in a think tank.

 

Educational program

Day 1 - morning: Key ideas, players and strategic challenges for the urban mobility of goods

  • Objective: Introduce students to the issues related to the urban mobility of goods, the players in this area, the basic concepts, key figures and main challenges.
  • Educational material: classes and the Urbalog serious game.

Day 1 - afternoon: Urban Logistics Think Tank

  • Objective: create innovation through discussions with economic players about the challenges of transporting goods in the city of tomorrow.
  • Educational material: Panel discussion with local business players, workshops.

Day 2 - morning: Logistical spaces: optimizing urban goods movement

  • Objective: discovering the different types of urban logistics spaces, their scope, how they work and their impact, as well as the key factors for success.
  • Educational material: Classes, accounts by professionals on their experience, guided on-site visits.

Day 2 - afternoon: Logistics spaces: urban integration and intermodal potential

  • Objective: understand the current and future consumer trends of households and their impact on urban goods movement.
  • Educational material: classes and experiences from professionals

Day 3 - morning: Cyber commerce and new purchasing practices: impact on urban logistics

  • Objective: understand the current and future consumer trends of households and their impact on urban goods movement.
  • Educational material: classes and experiences from professionals.

Day 3 - afternoon: The city of the future: challenges and issues for the transportation of goods

  • Objective: Discuss issues related to urban logistics and the transportation methods of the future: the impact of artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, and of the industry and transportation methods of the future.
  • Educational material: classes and accounts from professionals of their experience.
