The new 2021 session of the “Business, competitiveness and digital technology” training program

From May 20, 2021 to July 1, 2021

The Université de Lyon, the Regional Directorate of Economy, Employment, Labor and Solidarity (Direction régionale de l'économie, de l'emploi, du travail et des solidarités – DREETS) and the iaelyon School of Management (Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3) are organizing a new session for the “Business, competitiveness and digital technology” lifelong learning training program.

The “Business, competitiveness and digital technology” program is for professionals working to support companies in their digital transformations and transitions, whether they are:

  • Public officials;
  • Economic development officers;
  • Or business consultants.

The online classes will focus on how digital transformation can be used to give businesses a competitive advantage, with a particular focus on three main areas:

  • Competitive edge
    How can we transform a company’s strategy to find new sources of value using information technology?
  • Technological building blocks
    The way in which companies evolve through the digital transition is directly related to technological building blocks, and participants will have the opportunity to discover some of them (artificial intelligence, big data, data visualization, etc.).
  • Conditions for success
    What conditions do companies need to meet for a successful transition? The program will cover skills adaptation, digital security and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The online classes will be taught over ten days, for a total of 76 hours, from May 20 through July 1.
