The CURSUS+ lecture and round table discussions: New university admission support schemes

As part of its CURSUS+ project, winner of the French National Research Agency’s call for “New university programs” projects, the Université de Lyon is organizing a three-year series of lectures called “Student Successes”. The first lecture, “New university admission support schemes”, will take place on Thursday 9 January, 2020, from 2 PM to 5 PM, at the French Institute of Education (Institut français de l’éducation - IFÉ) premises at the ENS de Lyon.

The first CURSUS+ project trials started in September 2019 in the following partner institutions: The Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, the Université Lumière Lyon 2, the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 and the Université Jean Monnet. Some of these institutions provide four-year Bachelor's degree programs. These project trials have been put in place to offer personalized programs and support to the students who need it, in an effort to do as much as possible to improve their individual success.

The January lecture will be an opportunity to discuss and reflect on these customized programs. It will take place in the form of a lecture followed by round table discussions, and will be concluded by Khaled Bouabdallah, President of the Université de Lyon. It is aimed at researchers, professor-researchers, students who are involved in these programs or who would like to learn more about them, guidance and counseling professionals, secondary and university education representatives, etc.

  • Marc Romainville - Doctor in Educational Sciences, professor, head of the University Education Department and head of the Education and Technology Department at the University of Namur in Belgium.

The CURSUS+ project, led by the Université de Lyon, receives State aid which is administered by the French National Research Agency (Agence nationale de la recherche) as part of the Future Investments Program under the reference ANR-18-NCUN-0005.
