On September 27, eight initiatives led by local talented young people were showcased at the Ninkasi restaurant in Gerland. The projects led by these young people, with aims ranging from the social and solidarity economy, entrepreneurship and digital technology, to sports and culture, were honored during a friendly and relaxed evening.

After a show by the Pockemon Crew, a world-renowned French break dance company, Sarah Peillon, an elected official from the Métropole de Lyon, kicked off the evening. Khaled Bouabdallah, President of the Université de Lyon and partner of the event, reaffirmed the institution’s support for student entrepreneurial endeavors. The Université de Lyon and entrepreneurship

In close collaboration with its Foundation, the Université de Lyon is developing a number of programs to support student entrepreneurship and innovation. The University’s two main programs are:

  • Beelys, to support students in projects to launch or take over companies;
  • The Innovation Factory in Lyon and Saint-Étienne, which mobilizes students’ talents and creativity to develop innovative ideas.
We directly train students to become entrepreneurs with our student-entrepreneur degree (D2E) founded in 2015, which has been successful on a national scale.
