Launch party for the 13th Accelerated Young Companies (JEA) program

On The January 7, 2020

The 13th BEELYS Accelerated Young Companies (JEA) pre-acceleration program was presented in a launch party at Boehringer Ingelheim on Tuesday January 7. This evening was an opportunity for the selected start-ups to pitch their projects and to meet with partners of the Université de Lyon’s Entrepreneurship Center.

The Accelerated Young Companies program, or JEA, is a five-month pre-acceleration program that enables participants to:

  • Structure their project with a customized acceleration model;
  • Obtain financial support from a network of investors and funding bodies;
  • Strengthen their position through a dedicated network of partners and experts;
  • Publicize their project with the help of the media and other economic players.

Themes such as business, human resources, management, legal and financing all contribute to the development of new start-ups and enable them to reach new heights and achieve a new level of success.

A sponsored program

Each year, BEELYS gives entrepreneurs from all its programs the opportunity to receive support from a well-known person in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. For 2020, it is Samuel Stremsdoerfer, CEO of Jet Metal, who will replace Baptiste Privé, CEO of Roamler France, as the sponsor.

“Money without taboos”, an inspirational speech

This launch was also an opportunity for start-ups to get right to the heart of the JEA program by candidly discussing issues such as financing, fundraising, etc. So there were “no taboos” when Émilie Legoff, CEO of Troops and sponsor of the next edition of Lyon Start-Up, Baptiste Privé, CEO of Roamler France, and Samuel Stremsdoerfer, CEO of Jet Metal, shared their experiences with the start-ups and partners in attendance.

A variety of business sectors

More than 10 business sectors are represented by the 17 start-ups selected for this 13th JEA program.
