The selection committee composed of regional experts gathered on February 1, 2019 to select the 100 projects that will take part in the eighth Lyon StartUp support program. The results are now being announced.

These 100 selected projects will receive support, which will begin with a week of training provided by emlyon business school, covering the basics of entrepreneurship. Participants will then complete a full training program, including themed workshops, networking events, a pitching contest and many opportunities to meet economic and entrepreneurial players from the region. The sponsor of the eighth class is Céline Paravy-Atlan, founder of the Mapièce company, which provides guesthouse accommodation for businesses.

At the end of the four months of support, the 20 projects with the most potential will be awarded the Lyon StartUp label, which is recognized within the French entrepreneurial ecosystem. The top three projects will be awarded a total of €25,000, with the winner earning €15,000. This sum will give these young entrepreneurs a real boost to kick off their projects.
