The Lyon and Saint-Étienne Entrepreneurship Center is opening an incubator at the Université Lumière Lyon 2

On The February 3, 2021

A new incubator is set to open at the Université Lumière Lyon 2 in the spring of 2021 as part of the Lyon Saint-Étienne Entrepreneurship Center’s Manufactory program, which is led by the Université de Lyon and the Foundation for the Université de Lyon.

The Lyon Saint-Étienne Entrepreneurship Center has announced a new Manufacturing incubator at the Université Lumière Lyon 2 starting this spring. The incubator will include two new training facilities:

  • One at the Portes des Alpes campus: 5, Avenue Pierre Mendès France, 69500 Bron.
  • Another at the Charles Mérieux campus: 18, quai Claude Bernard, 69007 Lyon.

These facilities will help nurture and spread entrepreneurial spirit through practical and positive examples on campus.

They will be open to dedicated entrepreneurs seeking to transform society and create value in order to meet future ecological, social and economic challenges. Applications for the first class will be open from February 20.

As a reminder, Manufactory offers two programs that respond to different needs, depending on how mature the projects are:

  • The START program: to measure the feasibility of projects and determine their market potential;
  • The UP program: to help accelerate the growth of start-ups.

Applications will then be reviewed by a jury made up of both members of the incubator and members of the academic and economic communities.
