Visit the Innovation Factory’s new Saint-Étienne site

On The March 29, 2021

Are you a research professor at one of the Université de Lyon’s institutions in Saint-Etienne? Are you looking for ways to incorporate creativity into your teaching? Come and discover the D-Factory, the Innovation Factory’s new site in Saint-Étienne, on March 29.

The 850 m² (9,000 sq ft) D-Factory, or “Design Factory”, located in the heart of the Saint-Étienne Manufacture district, is an exciting and vibrant venue where people can meet and share ideas. This site, which opened in February 2021, is designed to meet the innovation needs of the Saint-Étienne and Lyon higher education institutions, as well as the expectations of the local economic community.

The Innovation Factory is organizing a guided tour of the D-Factory to present its services for research professors:

  • Date: March 29, 2021
  • Times: 9:30 AM or 2 PM
  • Length of the tour: 1 hour and 30 minutes
  • The program includes a presentation of the Innovation Factory’s missions and services, followed by a live visit of the FabLab.
  • Location: Take a guided tour of the D-Factory, on site or online, at the Centre des Savoirs pour l’Innovation, Bâtiment des Forges, Rue Dr Rémy Annino 42000 Saint-Étienne.

Incorporating creativity into teaching means giving students the opportunity to learn a range of creative techniques and to come up with their own solutions in a very small amount of time. It also enables them to improve their teamwork skills, as well as strengthen their listening skills, their organizational skills and their ability to adapt to different situations.

This is why The Innovation Factory has introduced a new “Creativity Course”, which allows research professors to experiment with creativity tools. Participants will learn how to transform their course format through a series of discovery sessions and practical exercises.

  • Period: until May 27, 2021
  • Registrations are still open for the four “Midis-créativité” (lunchtime creativity courses) on March 16, 23 and 30 and April 6, 2021
  • Location: the Creativity Course workshops will be held online.
