Innovative joint programs development grants 2020

Closed call


The principal ambition of the ARQUS Alliance, funded by the European Commission, is to act jointly as a laboratory for institutional learning from which to move forward in the design, testing and implementation of an innovative model for deep inter-university cooperation.

This call will finance the constitution of up to four UdL Strategic Partnership Clusters for the future application to joint programme development 2021 calls, such as Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD), International Training Network (ITN), or Graduate Schools of Research (EUR) call of the ANR’s Investment for the Future Program (PAI3), with at least one of the ARQUS consortium universities. This application will also fund: the creation of new courses in English in preexisting programmes with a mandatory mobility to one of the ARQUS partners; or the creation of new double/multiple diplomas with at least one of the ARQUS consortium universities.


Grant applicants are expected to meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a permanent position in one (or more) of the following universities : Université Lyon 1, Université Lyon 3, Université Jean Monnet-Saint Etienne, ENS de Lyon;
  • Be recognized within their field(s) for their influential academic and/or scientific achievements;
