Calling all students: don’t miss International Student Night!

On The October 13, 2022

From 9 PM to 4:30 AM
At the Transbordeur venue

International Student Night (Nuit de Étudiants du Monde — NEM) is a special evening to help international students settle in at the beginning of the academic year. This annual event, organized by the Métropole de Lyon and its partners, is open to all students and is free of charge. See you at the Transbordeur concert hall on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 9 PM to 4:30 AM!

International Student Night is making its comeback in 2022, after being canceled in 2020 and following an adaptation of the welcoming concept in 2021 with World Student Days (a series of free tours around the city and a friendly get together at the Métropole de Lyon Student Center) on account of the Covid-19 health crisis.

This free, fun-filled evening for welcoming international students, organized by the City of Lyon and the Métropole de Lyon, in partnership with Villeurbanne and the organizations AVUF, Graines Electroniques and ESN CosmoLyon, aims to bring together all the cultures of the student world.

The program includes:

  • A fanfare welcome with the Piston student organization
  • A gathering of organizations, with around 20 organizations presenting their initiatives run by and/or for students.
  • World games platform, photo call…
  • Prizes to be won: Student Culture Pass, with the City of Lyon and the Métropole de Lyon, surprises from Campus France, and much more…
  • A concert by the winner of the ‘Tremplin Musical de Villeurbanne’ music awards
  • Performances and activities with Irish tap and dance (activities to be announced)
  • Concert by group EIGHTY
  • DJ set (Furie collective, Leruja, DJ Amy B and Célélé – full program to be announced) with a dancefloor, glitter workshop…
