The Université de Lyon and the Office for Cooperation and Cultural Action of the French Consulate in São Paulo are working in close collaboration with the CNRS office in South America and the FAPESP to organize a webinar on the scientific cooperation tools developed between France and Brazil.

As long-standing academic and scientific partners, the Université de Lyon Paulo and the State of São Paulo – more specifically the University of São Paulo and the São Paulo Research Foundation – are committed to maintaining their successful and positive relationship. This first seminar will focus on French-Brazilian cooperation tools and mechanisms and will be followed by other events throughout the 2022/23 academic year.

WEBINAR OBJECTIVES:

  • Promote French-Brazilian cooperation tools and funding programs,
  • Promote research projects,
  • Identify the expectations of the Brazilian and French partners,
  • Create new opportunities for cooperation.

  • Speakers
    • Nadège Mézié (SCAC São Paulo): "French scientific cooperation programs in Brazil"
    • Olga Anokhina (CNRS Office in South America): "CNRS international cooperation tools"
    • Fabrice Bardet (ENTPE) & Lucia Shimbo (USP): "Sharing the experience of setting up the Anthropocene International Research Project"
    • Fernando Menezes (FAPESP): "Two highly successful initiatives of the Lyon - São Paulo partnership: The FAPESP and the USP Faculty of Law"
  • Discussion with research professors


The webinar is open to anyone interested in learning more about international university cooperation tools, especially with Brazil and South America. You can watch the seminar online (via Zoom) but you must register beforehand. The contents of the webinar will be available on the São Paulo French Consulate’s YouTube channel.
