The Life RECYCLO project will be taking part in the Entre Rhône et Saône Festival
From July 2, 2022 to July 3, 2022
The Life RECYCLO project, of which the Université de Lyon is a partner, will take part in the Entre Rhône et Saône Festival in July. This is the first edition of this Lyon event, which will put water in the spotlight.
The Université de Lyon is a partner of the Life RECYCLO European project via Pop’Sciences.
This project, run by the TreeWater company, aims to develop a wastewater recycling process specifically geared to laundries. This process will not only remove more than 90% of the pollutants found in waste laundry water, but will also allow the cleaned wastewater to be reused to wash another load of laundry, resulting in a 50-80% reduction in water consumption.
In this way, Life RECYCLO provides a practical solution to the issues involved in water conservation. It is the perfect project to feature in Lyon’s newest festival all about water! In homage to its two great rivers, Lyon has decided to highlight this precious resource by organizing the Entre Rhône et Saône Festival, with Yann Arthus-Bertrand as a sponsor for this first edition. The festival will include a number of activities that will run throughout the first weekend of July. This event is also the perfect opportunity to remind people of the importance of preserving and protecting our water resources, with a number of workshops, seminars and exhibitions focusing on these issues.

So come along and enjoy an afternoon of activities based on the Life RECYCLO project on July 2 and 3 at the Guinguettes du Rhône (between the Wilson Bridge and the Guillotière Bridge). You can also meet the TreeWater and Pop’Sciences teams working on the project, and watch live demonstrations of the RECYCLO process presented by the Treewater engineers.
