FOR STUDENTS WITH A PERMIT EXPIRED BETWEEN MARCH 16 AND JUNE 15, 2020 - CROSSING THE BORDERS

A general information document on measures to extend the period of validity of permits, taken by the government in the context of the health crisis, can be downloaded from the website of the Directorate General for Foreigners in France, from this link.
It is also available from the Préfecture du Rhône's website.

Students whose permit expired between March 16 and June 15, 2020 can usefully bring this document which, presented with their expired residence permit, will help them at border crossings (reminding for those who are currently in their country of origin that it is recommended to favor a direct return to France without transiting through another country of the Schengen area) or as part of the steps they would have to take.
