The Université de Lyon’s Staff Week: A week of discussions between European partners

On The November 29, 2019

As part of its policy to encourage international applications, the Université de Lyon held its first Staff Week, which took place from November 4 to 8, focusing on the most important aspects of its international relations. It involved more than forty participants, including at least ten European partners.

Welcoming partners from all over Europe: enhancing the attractiveness and recognition of the Lyon Saint-Étienne campus

More than ten partners from Germany, Spain, Slovakia and Lithuania came to take part in the “Staff Week: a New Approach on Student Experience”, organized by the Université de Lyon from November 4 to 8, 2019.
These partners were welcomed by Jacques Comby, Vice-president for the Université de Lyon’s international strategy and President of the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, who gave a welcome speech as part of the opening ceremony.

Discussions around subjects at the heart of international relations

Each day was organized into sessions made up of presentations, round-table discussions and exchanges based on the following topics:

All these subjects are associated with the attractiveness and training policies implemented on a regional basis (the introduction of mobility grants and the Four motors for Europe by the Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), nationally (with the Welcome to France label) and throughout Europe (the Erasmus Without Paper - EWP scheme and European universities).

Networking with partners

In addition to these working sessions, participants had the opportunity to take part in networking activities, including job-shadowing, and to exchange ideas in a more casual and friendly environment as part of guided tours and the opening and closing evenings.
