Third French-Chinese Confluences Forum in Lyon
From September 23, 2019 to September 24, 2019
Building on the success of the first two events, which brought together 1,000 French and Chinese figures from the economic and academic worlds, the French-Chinese Confluences Forum returns to Lyon on September 23 and 24, 2019.
On September 23 and 24, the City of Lyon and the Prospective and Innovation Foundation are organizing the third “French-Chinese Confluences” Forum, sponsored by the New Franco-Chinese Institute in Lyon, opened in March 2014 by President Xi Jinping.
The theme of this forum is: “Health and Food, working towards a healthy Silk Road”.
The forum is intended as “a special opportunity to participate in high-level discussions and share experiences surrounding the challenges faced by the French and Chinese local authorities in building resilient healthcare systems which can identify, contain and prevent pandemics, to promote universal health coverage and strengthen the cooperation mechanisms required for regional and international health safety.”
The “Rethinking education for a more efficient health service” academic conference is coordinated by Didier Vinot, the Vice-President responsible for Economic and Social Affairs and Heritage and Co-Director of the “Values of patient-centered care” Chair at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3.
