The Université de Lyon renews its framework agreement with the China Scholarship Council for four more years

On The May 17, 2018

This agreement enables 30 PhD grants a year to be awarded to Chinese students carrying out their PhD programs at the Université de Lyon.

As part of this agreement, Chinese applicants can benefit from a grant of 1,200 euros per month for a maximum duration of 48 months, to receive top-level research training in the laboratories and research federations of the Université de Lyon's member and associated institutions.

The inward mobility of Chinese PhD students is also a vehicle for strengthening links between researchers at the Lyon Saint-Étienne site and their peers at Chinese universities, which can lead to new research collaborations.

The Université de Lyon and the China Scholarship Council have particularly agreed to support students applying for full PhD programs or thesis co-supervisions in the following fields: biohealth and society, modeling and complex systems, science and engineering for sustainable development and humanities and urbanity.

The CSC grant campaign for 2018-2019 will be launched in November this year.
