Three researchers and research professors from the Lyon Saint-Étienne site have received ERC Starting Grants

The Université de Lyon congratulates the three young researchers and research professors from the Lyon Saint-Étienne site who received the 2019 ERC (European Research Council) Starting grants.

The 2019 ERC Starting Grants’ call for projects was aimed at young researchers who completed their PhD from 2 to 7 years before January 1, 2019. This call is aimed at funding exploratory research projects over a maximum period of five years, with a grant of 1.5 million Euros.

Three of the 2019 recipients come from the Lyon Saint-Étienne site:

  • Lucile Savary, CNRS research officer at the Physics Laboratory of the ENS de Lyon (ENS de Lyon / CNRS / Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1);
  • Matthieu Riva, CNRS research officer at the Institut de Recherche sur la catalyse et l’environnement de Lyon (IRCELYON, CNRS / Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1);
  • Omar Fawzi, Research professor at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS de Lyon), member of the Laboratoire de l'Informatique du Parallélisme (LIP, Inria / CNRS / ENS de Lyon / Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1).
