A meeting with the Kuwaiti Embassy’s Cultural Office in France

The Université de Lyon welcomed the Cultural Attaché from the Kuwaiti Embassy’s Cultural Office in France to discuss possible student mobility collaborations between the Université de Lyon and Kuwaiti universities. A framework agreement is expected to be signed this fall.

On September 9, 2019, the Université de Lyon (UdL) had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Yacoub Alshammari, Cultural Attaché from the Kuwaiti Embassy’s Cultural Office in France.

He was greeted by Khaled Bouabdallah, President of the Université de Lyon, Jacques Comby, The UdL’s international strategy Vice-President and President of the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, Séverine Dalynjak, the UdL’s Head of the International attractiveness and promotion department, and finally, by Ghanem Marrakchi, Maghreb – Middle East official representative at the Université Jean Monnet.

Thanks to its outstanding reputation in terms of the warm welcome received by its foreign students, and with the site opening up to Middle Eastern countries, the Université de Lyon has been identified by Kuwait as a key French player in student mobility.

A collaboration framework agreement is expected to be signed this fall between the UdL and the Kuwaiti Embassy’s Cultural Office in France. This framework agreement is to be divided into specific cooperation agreements with the Université de Lyon’s higher education member institutions.
