A researcher from the ENS in Lyon is awarded the CNRS Scientific Mediation Medal
On The October 14, 2022
Since 2021, the CNRS presents a Scientific Mediation Medal to scientists or staff members supporting research.
CNRS medals are awarded to researchers and staff members who make outstanding contributions to the dynamic development and excellent reputation of the institution.
The medal for scientific mediation rewards “women and men who put science at the heart of society and disseminate scientific information accessible to different audiences.”
Among the winners for 2022, a researcher from a Université de Lyon member institution was granted this award:
- Étienne Ghys – CNRS Research Director in mathematics at the ENS in Lyon and Permanent Secretary of the Academy of Sciences
