Lyon, second best student city according to the Figaro Étudiant rankings

The new Figaro Étudiant ranking puts Lyon as the second best city to study in.
The Figaro Étudiant’s new general ranking for the best student cities is based on six main categories: student population, educational opportunities, student accommodation, student life, living environment and employment for young people.
Lyon takes second place, just behind Toulouse, and is followed by Nantes, Grenoble and Marseille-Aix.
Its second place ranking also recognizes the collaborative efforts of the Université de Lyon, the Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the Lyon and Saint-Étienne metropolitan areas, and the Ville de Lyon.

A good quality of life on the UdL campuses
Given that a high-quality environment to live and work in is a key factor for academic success, the Université de Lyon has implemented an ambitious strategy to improve student quality of life by providing equal access to housing, transport, health care, sports and culture, etc.
