Seven institutions from the Université de Lyon listed in the CWUR 2022 ranking

The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), established in 2012, publishes a ranking of the world’s higher education and research institutions. The results of the 2022/23 ranking were published on April 25, 2022, listing seven institutions from the Université de Lyon.

The CWUR is a consulting organization based in the United Arab Emirates. It advises governments and universities on improving teaching and research performance. Since 2012, the CWUR has published the academic ranking of global universities that assesses the quality of education, alumni employment, quality research and citation performance without relying on surveys and university data submissions.

In order to achieve this, the CWUR cross-references seven indicators: Education, Employability, Research Output, High-Quality Publications, Influence, Citations and Faculty.
 

Seventy-seven French institutions are ranked in the 2022 edition (making it the fifth most represented country in the ranking list), including 7 member and associated institutions of the Université de Lyon:

  • Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 ;
  • ENS de Lyon ;
  • INSA Lyon ;
  • Université Jean Monnet ;
  • VetAgro Sup ;
  • École Centrale Lyon ;
  • CPE Lyon.
