The Université de Lyon has received its Charter for Higher Education (Charte pour l’enseignement supérieur – ECHE) certification for 2021-2027. The ECHE is the first mandatory step for any institution wishing to participate in the different Erasmus + program activities for the years 2021 to 2027.

The Université de Lyon’s international and European strategy involves strengthening the Lyon and Saint-Étienne university sites’ international exposure and attractiveness in the world of higher education and research. It also aims to strengthen its involvement in local development as part of the globalized knowledge economy network.

The 2018 Charter has enabled the UdL to move forward with a new approach, including launching a number of calls for European projects alongside the Lyon - Saint-Étienne site’s long-standing partners.

In order to maintain and develop the relationships it has established with its European partners, the Université de Lyon will use the Eramus+ 2021-2027 program as an opportunity to identify and develop new cooperation projects and to successfully complete its ongoing activities. As a result, it will strengthen its position within the European area for training and knowledge.
