The Université de Lyon’s international policy: cooperation with Shanghai and China

On March 26, the Université de Lyon gathered its member and associated institutions at the École normale supérieure de Lyon (ENS de Lyon) to discuss its international policy in Shanghai and China, and prospects for future development.

This meeting is being held after the Université de Lyon’s representative office in China was officially reopened on December 4, 2018.

Jean-François Pinton, the director of IDEXLYON and president of the ENS de Lyon opened the gathering with a presentation of the IDEXLYON project and the Université de Lyon’s new international policy.

Philippe Maurin, the director of international affairs at the ENS de Lyon then described the current state of scientific cooperation with China in 2019.

Séverine Dalynjak, head of the international attractiveness and promotion department of the Université de Lyon then presented the tools built for international cooperation with Shanghai.

Jean-Michel Roy, the Université de Lyon’s representative in Shanghai, presented the Université de Lyon’s representation in Shanghai and led a discussion about the Université de Lyon’s scientific policy in Shanghai and in China and future prospects.
