Three Université de Lyon institutions are among the top 11 most eco-friendly universities and public schools in France

The INSA Lyon, the École Centrale de Lyon and the Université Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne are now among the 11 most environmentally friendly universities and public schools in France.
Times Higher Education has just published a new worldwide ranking that focuses on how universities are working to address climate change. The ranking is based on three criteria:
- Ecology research;
- Awareness;
- Environmental stewardship.
Measures considered in the ranking include using low-carbon energy, having a university-wide climate action plan, and working with local or national authorities to address climate change plans.
A total of 376 institutions from 70 different countries are included in this ranking. Among these, three of the Université de Lyon member institutions appear in the top 11 eco-friendly universities and public schools in France. These are: the INSA Lyon, the École Centrale de Lyon and the Université Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne.
