Universe and Earth Sciences Disciplinary Coordination Network
From the design and development of scientific instruments to the operation of space missions and the analysis of field observations, including theoretical developments and numerical simulations, the Universe and Earth Sciences network studies the processes that shape our planet and the cosmos, drawing on the wealth and complementarity of expertise brought together across the Lyon–Saint-Étienne area.
The network coordinates all activities related to research, education and training, partnerships with socio-economic stakeholders, and the dissemination of scientific knowledge to the public.

about
The Universe and Earth Sciences Disciplinary Coordination Network brings together the communities working on Earth, environmental, and space sciences to improve our understanding of the origin and evolution of the Universe, the conditions that make Earth habitable, and the major scientific challenges related to environment, climate, and natural resources, as well as their societal impacts, by involving socio-economic stakeholders from the region.
The network relies on the observation and measurement of natural objects and phenomena at all scales, as well as on the use of supercomputers, major scientific instruments, and space missions.
The network coordinates activities in research, education and training, partnerships with socio-economic stakeholders, and the dissemination of scientific knowledge to the public. Its ambition is to bring together the various stakeholders across the Lyon–Saint-Étienne area and strengthen their interactions, to foster a collective dynamic conducive to the development of innovative projects, while enhancing the visibility and attractiveness of the region.
