International Alliance Japan: call for projects to support outgoing scientific mobility to Japan and scientific collaborations with Japan

Call for proposals closed

The Université de Lyon launches a call for projects which is split in two parts: the funding of short duration outgoing scientific mobility to Japan and the support of structuring projects organized on the Lyon Saint-Étienne site with Japanese institutions.

OBJECTIVE:

Increase international research and training collaborations.


TARGETED PRIORITY PARTNERS:

  1. Universities of the Université de Lyon International Alliance: the University of Tokyo and Tohoku University;
  2. Others Japanese universities (based on their areas of expertise, the number of jointly co-published scientific papers and the global rankings).

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Research professors and researchers in one of the IDEXLYON consortium institutions.


TYPES OF ACTIONS FUNDED:

  • Funding of outgoing scientific mobility:
    Short-term mobility to Japan (1 to 2 weeks) to develop joint scientific and/or training projects: double diploma, co-supervise research internships, joint PhD, etc.
  • Supporting structuring projects with Japanese partners:
    Organization costs, workshops to develop research projects, summer schools, symposiums, etc. 


SELECTION:

Application files will be examined by an ad hoc committee.
