Lyon students can volunteer for the late-night listening service!

From January 11, 2021 to February 10, 2021

For the 2020/2021 academic year, the Université de Lyon is partnering with the Nightline organization and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region to offer a listening, support and information service for students experiencing psychological difficulties from the Lyon and Saint-Etienne institutions. The hotline, which was launched on November 14, 2020, is looking for new students to join its team of volunteers. Applications are open until Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

These days, the majority of calls received by other Nightline services, both in France and abroad, are from young people who are experiencing problems with student life (stress, anxiety, heavy workload, etc.). Everyone’s experience is valuable for running this type of listening service.

By devoting a few hours a month to Nightline Lyon, you will get the chance to:

  • Provide support to students who are more likely to confide in someone they can relate to
  • Take part in a rewarding experience that can help you improve your ability to listen, understand and manage sensitive situations
  • Be part of a dedicated and dynamic team and participate in the social aspects of the organization

For a chance to join the adventure, simply fill out the application form before February 10, 2021.

Remember, volunteers must remain anonymous! We, therefore, kindly ask you not to discuss your application with your friends and family.
