About Culture, science and society
Science and society initiatives promote interaction between the research sector and civil society. They help to disseminate, share and spark discussion about knowledge thanks to the Pop'Sciences portal, events such as the Science Fair and meetups between pupils and PhD students.
To support social innovation, the Université de Lyon goes beyond the sharing of knowledge by contributing to collaborative research dynamics and citizen science, and by collaborating with different actors in society (young people, organizations, companies, solidarity economy, etc.)
Through research programs, such as the Science Shop, the Université de Lyon offers living labs and consultations with the public. The implementation of an Ethics Platform has led to further debate about science and society, scientific integrity and the social responsibility of researchers through training, monitoring and research activities.
Focus
The Université de Lyon’s Pop’Sciences web portal for the general public is a space to publicize events, resources and scientific, technical and industrial culture events dedicated to school audiences.
