Arts and Culture in Higher Education: the #JACES2020 Campus Arts Festival

It is with a heavy heart that we have cancelled the 2020 #JACES Campus Arts Festival, which was scheduled to take place from March 30 to April 5.

Each year, the Campus Arts Festival allows everyone (the general public, staff, students, etc.) to discover the diversity, wealth and quality of the cultural and artistic works put together and presented both on the campuses and within the institutions on the site.

In addition to this public event, the cultural programs and activities provided by higher education institutions remain available throughout the year, in a number of different locations, often free of charge.

Cultural venues in Lyon’s higher education institutions

  • The LyonTech-la Doua campus: The Astrée Theater, the Domus gallery, and the Science University Library (BU Sciences, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1), the Rotonde, the Galerie des Humanités (INSA Lyon)
  • The Charles Mérieux campus: The Kantor Theater, the Artemisia Gallery and the Félix Pécaut Forum (ENS Lyon)
  • The Manufacture des Tabacs campus: The Malraux Auditorium (Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3)
  • The Porte des Alpes campus: Amphithéâtre culturel (the Université Lumière Lyon 2)
  • Other locations: The Musée des Moulages (the Université Lumière Lyon 2, the Rachais site), the Ecole nationale supérieure des arts et techniques du théâtre, the Ecole nationale supérieure des beaux-arts, the Conservatoire national supérieur musique et danse de Lyon, and many more.

The good news is that during the lockdown, your institutions are giving you the opportunity to enjoy the many artistic and cultural attractions from the comfort of your own home.
