On The November 7, 2022

China

The Université de Lyon (UdL) has entered into a partnership with the China Scholarship Council (CSC), which provides funding for 30 doctoral scholarships each year through the CSC. It aims to enable Chinese students to study for their PhD in one of the Université de Lyon’s member institutions.

As part of its international policy, the Université de Lyon organizes research and training support activities on behalf of its members and associates. The China Scholarship Council (CSC) provides the Chinese Ministry of Education (MoE) with a student mobility scholarship program for doctoral students. The Université de Lyon has signed an agreement with the CSC to grant around thirty doctoral scholarships each year to institutions. The amount of the CSC grant is €1350 per month, for a maximum duration of 48 months.

In 2022, 17 applications were selected among the 26 that were shortlisted, with funding ranging from 36 to 48 months.

The 2023 campaign has just been launched. Thesis directors and doctoral schools are invited to submit their thesis topics in French or English. Chinese candidates will then be able to submit their application to the thesis directors and then to the CSC as soon as the validated subjects are published on the CSC scholarship web page, by strictly following the program’s procedure.
