[PUBLIC EVENT] In 2025, the Students Welcome Desk keeps supporting international students

From August 25, 2025 to December 19, 2025

Every year at the start of the academic year, the Université de Lyon sets up its Students Welcome Desk to greet international students and help with their their back-to-school procedures. The 2025 edition closes is open from August 25 to December 19, and will visit the campuses.

The Students Welcome Desk, the international student reception desk on the Lyon Saint-Étienne university site, provides information and guidance on all administrative procedures, including those related to student residence permits, as well as on all the assistance and support programs available. The main objective is to help international students, whether they are newcomers or not, get their studies off to a good start and make their daily life in the region easier!
 

Several tools are available:

  • A hotline to inform, advise, redirect to the dedicated service(s), or even make an appointment for personalized support:

The Students Welcome Desk also exists in Saint-Étienne!

Students can also find the SWD in Saint-Étienne! Led by Jean Monnet University in Saint-Étienne, it offers the same services as its Lyon counterpart: assistance with visas and residence permits, health, housing, and student and cultural life in Saint-Étienne. Workshops and themed evenings are also offered.
