Every year, throughout France, the Science Fair invites the general public to have fun with science, to discover new technologies and the latest developments. The scientific community has come together to offer a range of activities, exhibitions, lectures, tours, and much more. The theme of the 2023 Science Fair will be “Sports and Science”.

From October 6 to 16, come and enjoy around 300 free and fun activities open to everyone in Lyon and the Rhône region. Stroll through the departement’s 21 towns and cities and meet the men and women who are involved in science, or at least able to explain it!

A nationwide theme: “Sports and science”

With the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games just around the corner, the Science Fair is putting the spotlight on sports. Whether it’s recreational or high-level, fun or educational, amateur or professional, sport plays a central role in our daily lives and in our society. It radiates through its social, economic, cultural and scientific omnipresence.

Under this theme, the general public will have the opportunity to meet those involved in research and learn about the latest advances in pharmacology, neuroscience, psychology, medicine... as well as many other disciplines.
