[CALL FOR APPLICATIONS] Irène Joliot-Curie Prize 2025

The French Ministry of Higher Education and Research is launching the 2025 edition of the Irène Joliot-Curie Prize. Aimed at promoting the role of women in research and technology in France, this Prize recognizes female scientists with exceptional careers. Apply now!
What is the Irène Joliot-Curie Prize?
Awarded by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, with the support of the Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Technologies, the Irène Joliot-Curie Prize aims to highlight the careers of female scientists who combine excellent and dynamism.
Four prizes will be awarded
- The “Female Scientist of the Year” prize is awarded to a woman who has made an exceptional contribution in the field of public research by opening up her subject area, the importance of her works and recognition in her scientific field on both a national and international level.
- The “Young Female Scientist” prize showcases and supports three young women who have distinguished themselves through their career paths and works, who stand out as a talented specialists in their field.
- The “Woman, Research and Business” prize recognizes a woman who has developed innovations with significant economic and social impact while working in a company or contributing to the creation of a company.
- The “Special Commitment” prize recognizes a female scientist who is particularly committed to raising awareness and guiding young girls and young people in general towards science.
The deadline for applications is Friday August 1, 2025 at midnight.
