- 30 MARS[GRANT] ERC “Advanced” Grants: two scientific projects from Lyon awarded
The European Research Council (ERC) has just announced the list of recipients of the prestigious “Advanced” grants. Lyon has two laureates: TEMPO* and IGN.
- 22 MARS[RETROSPECTIVE] MT180 2023: Lucie Boël and Valentin Gautier win the Université de Lyon regional finals
The 12 doctoral students who took part in the regional finals of the international My Thesis in 180 Seconds competition delighted the large audience at the Université de Lyon’s Grand Amphitheater on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. The candidates who qualified for the national semi-final are Lucie Boël, from the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 and Valentin Gautier, from INSA Lyon.

In 2022, the European Research Council funded more than 300 researchers in Europe through its “ERC Consolidator Grants”. Forty-one of the recipients are from France, including three from the Lyon Saint-Étienne university site.

The Université de Lyon (UdL) has entered into a partnership with the China Scholarship Council (CSC), which provides funding for 30 doctoral scholarships each year through the CSC. It aims to enable Chinese students to study for their PhD in one of the Université de Lyon’s member institutions.

On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, the 16th edition of the L’Oréal-Unesco Young Talents Prize - France for Women in Science was awarded to 35 exceptional female doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers. Three of them are from the Lyon Saint-Étienne laboratories.
