The Université de Lyon’s late-night helpline

Because looking after your health is very important, the Université de Lyon and its institutions are keen to support the development of their new services and facilities to improve students’ health and well-being.

So, as of 2020, they will join forces with the Nightline organization and the Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes to open a listening, support and information service for students from the Lyon and Saint-Etienne institutions.

This type of “by students, for students” service is already available in several countries (United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, etc.) as well as in Paris since 2017. In 2020, Lyon is joining the adventure.

What is the Nightline organization all about?

Nightline is a free and anonymous listening service (and online chat) especially for students.
Volunteers, who are themselves students, provide a caring environment for young people to speak out and talk about their problems anonymously.
They provide a safe environment to talk about anything and everything, without judgment.
Trained in active listening, they adopt a neutral stance and do not attempt to direct the conversation.
The online chat and calls are not subject to extra charges; students do not have to pay for this service.

DO YOU NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE DURING THE DAY?

Nightline is a night-time service run by students, and is therefore not available during the day. If you need someone to talk to during the day, you can contact:

Apsytude

To make an appointment, please send an e-mail to rdv.apsytude@gmail.com or call +33 (0)6 27 86 91 83.
