The Campus Arts Festival in Saint-Étienne and on the Tréfilerie campus
The Campus Arts Festival is being held as part of the Arts and Culture in Higher Education Days, usually referred to in French as "JACES" days (Journées des Arts et de la Culture dans l’enseignement supérieur), for which nearly forty events will be organized over three days on the Lyon Saint-Étienne university sites.
To celebrate the Tréfilerie music festival, musicology students from the Université Jean Monnet in Saint-Étienne would like to invite you to three creative project events, in partnership with professional musicians and composers, with three concert evenings you do not want to miss out on.
Tréfilerie Music Festival – Three Concert Evenings
Wednesday, April 3, 2019 – Day 1 Cinema-concert “Chaplin and animated short films”
- “Chaplin and animated short films”
A concert where students perform music from Charlie Chaplin movies, which were composed by Pierre Fargeton, with a screening of short films produced by Arts, Literature & Languages students, led by Lionel Rascle.

Thursday, April 4, 2019 – Day 2, Conference & Lecture: “Homage to Debussy”
- “Aprodu Trio / Contemporary orchestral ensemble – Homage to Debussy”
Introduction to the music and the impressionistic movement by Alban Ramaut, followed by a concert of the Aprodu Trio interpreting Dubussy’s Trio in G major and Ravel’s Sonata for violin and cello.

- “Creation for winds, choir and soloist orchestra”
Pieces for the great musicology choir, along with a drawn performance by Antoine Demange (graphic arts student) and electroacoustic sound paintings played on an Acousmonium.

Do you have a talent: photography, dancing, singing, acting, video, writing, music, performance arts, acrobatics, impressions, sculpting, painting, mentalism, etc.? This exhibition highlights about fifty projects from designers and visual artists, each specially made for the 2019 International Design Biennial in Saint-Étienne. A few projects being presented:
- “Design error”, by the Ansthelle group, making the different forms of design accessible to the public.
- “RR11postcards” by the RBRC organization – discover eleven postcards, each created by a different artist as a mode of expression.
- “Nomad” by the Au Détour organization – traveling art gallery.
