The Université de Lyon’s Center for Professional Development and Teaching Innovation

A community of those involved in teaching innovation at the Université de Lyon

Thought to be one of the IDEXLYON program’s structural initiatives, the Université de Lyon’s Center for Professional Development and Teaching Innovation (CDproIP) is dedicated to stimulating a networking dynamic, organized in the Lyon and Saint-Étienne area, which builds on projects and pools resources for the educational community.

The Center for Professional Development and Teaching Innovation’s initiative came from a desire to merge the existing strengths of the Lyon and Saint-Étienne sites. Firstly, the COMUE institutions are establishing several recognized educational support structures (such as the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1’s ICAP department, the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3’s PAPN and the Saint-Étienne Université Jean Monnet’s IRAM platform), and secondly, the Université de Lyon is the birthplace of the National LearningLab Network coordinated by Télécom Saint-Etienne and recently structured as the Foundation for the Université de Lyon.

The CDproIP structuring began by identifying the site’s participants, resources and initiatives, which all share the theme of educational innovation. It hinges on the call for “Educational Innovation: innovative training initiatives” projects (FR) launched through IDEXLYON, organizing focal events, and supporting various themed events.

All of these initiatives are carried out in close collaboration with the monitoring and prospective group, based on the issues concerning educational innovation incorporated by the Université de Lyon’s academic colleges. This collaboration which forces players to rethink the coordination of the site’s existing strengths, opening up to new points of view and new challenges.
