IDEXLYON Fellowships

Call for proposals closed

To enhance the academic excellence and international attractiveness of the Université de Lyon, IDEXLYON is launching a call for proposals that aims to recruit top-level scientists with significant international experience to the Lyon Saint-Étienne site.

OBJECTIVE

To promote the academic excellence and the international attractiveness of the Université de Lyon, the IDEXLYON project launches a call for proposals to attract outstanding scientists, with a strong international track record. The three-year long IDEXLYON fellowships will give them considerable resources to develop their research program, their work environment and a team to ensure sustainability beyond IDEXLYON support. The call for proposals is designed to award up to 6 experienced researchers and faculty members with an international track record.


WHO CAN APPLY

The call for proposals is directed towards researchers and qualified faculty members with international experience.  

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS

  • Applicants must have spent the last 5 to 6 years working outside the Lyon Saint- Étienne site, including at least 2 years in a university or institution abroad;
  • Track record: Mid-career/future PI (for experienced researchers or faculty members who can lead a research team).

SELECTION CRITERIA

The applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria (in no particular order):
  • Quality of the scientific project. An innovative educational approach is an advantage;
  • World-class research and ability to lead a research team, including obtaining funding;
  • Structuring impact of the project (in terms of research and training) and coherence within the major themes of IDEXLYON: Bio-health and Society, Science and Engineering, Humanities and Urbanity.
